Kanika Sukhadia

Batik painting which was made through the repetition of pattern using my observational drawing of a shell. I placed a circle in the composition to represent the dish that the shells are sitting on. Here I’ve used four layers of colour. The “cracking” effect caused by the batik process gives an interesting, accidental texture to the work.
